Broaden your horizons with training

The working world is changing at a rapid pace, which brings with it a host of new and ever-changing requirements for employees. For this reason, we don’t just help the unemployed gain qualifications; we also provide assistance to employees. Training, qualifications and retraining are great ways to broaden your horizons and options and to optimally prepare yourself for the challenges faced in the working world.

Under certain circumstances, we can cover the costs for professional training – even if you are currently employed. You may be given time off from work for your training. In addition, your employer can apply for financial compensation for your time off. As a rule, you can also complete training while claiming short-term allowance.

Training can help you turn your professional aspirations into a reality

Placement officers at Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg will support you through the process and provide information on which financial assistance is available to you in your current situation.

Do you want to acquire new skills in your career or go in a different direction?

Use the online guidance tool New Plan from the Federal Employment Agency for inspiration on new professional opportunities and finding suitable training courses.

Want to do some professional training and have an idea of what you want to achieve? The Hamburg-based WISY course portal includes around 30,000 courses from over 1,000 education institutes in the Hamburg region that we will provide funding for under certain circumstances.
