Diversity management at Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg

Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg believes that modern societies and companies are characterised by a fair and open approach to the diversity and rich variety of people.

All Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg employees and clients should be treated with an equal amount of respect, inclusion and support, regardless of their gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, worldview, disabilities, age, sexual orientation or identity.

That’s why Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg signed the Charta der Vielfalt [Diversity Charta] back in 2014. This step highlights our commitment to diversity, fairness, an intercultural, cosmopolitan outlook, trust and tolerance for an appreciative and non-discriminatory workplace.

DIVERSITY CHALLENGE 2022/23 – Live and breathe diversity at your workplace!

Since 2018, reinventing diversity is the challenge posed to young employees aged between 16 and 27 years old by the DIVERSITY CHALLENGE. The Diversity Challenge is a project pioneered by Charta der Vielfalt.

It aims to raise young peopl´s awareness of diversity and strengthen their commitment to creating a non-discriminatory and appreciative work culture.
The ‘Villa Kun t.a.h bunt’ took part in the second Diversity Challenge held in 2021/2022 on behalf of Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg and took home the audience award the category Creating DIVERSITY for its work.

Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg is a patron of WELCOMING OUT

Recognising diversity in terms of gender and sexual identity is key when it comes to respectful interactions in both private and professional settings. WELCOMING OUT represents a movement – a proactive gesture – to visibly communicate acceptance and openness towards members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

The WELCOMING OUT 2022 initiative is the brainchild of Hamburg residents Vanessa Lamm and Markus Hoppe and is under the patronage of the Second Mayor of Hamburg Katharina Fegebank.

Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg has joined renowned companies and Hamburg-based institutions – Hamburg Fire Brigade, Hamburger SV, Beiersdorf, OTTO, Facebook Germany, the Techniker Krankenkasse and countless others – to join and support the initiative as PATRONS OF WELCOMING OUT.
